Our Upstream Operation

Savid Oil and Gas has operation in both Nigeria and regional countries. Our Operations and projects span a wide range of areas at any one time but may include seismic acquisition, exploration or development drilling, prospect and field evaluation studies, project construction, field development execution or production operations.

At Savid Oil and Gas we provide all the engineering support needed to take a client through the steps necessary to evaluate the viability of owning and operating full spectrum of engineering and consulting services related to Oil and Gas.

Our upstream oil and gas consulting team is dedicated to serving clients across every segment of the upstream, exploration and the supply chain, utilizing our deep research capabilities to provide strategic commercial advice.

We work with a wide-range of upstream participants striving to enhance their competitive positions and secure greater future certainty. Our clients include exploration & production (E&P) operators seeking to rationalize portfolios and capital commitments, those in the supply and service sector under pressure to do more for less and governments looking to resolve the dilemma of preserving cash flows while offering fiscal terms generous enough to attract new inward investment.

The following describes the typical services that Savid Oil and Gas would provide during the various stages of project development:

Research location of resources required to support Oil and Gas development (land, marine access, pipeline take-away capacity, electrical transmission access, zoning, etc.),

Map review of potential sites,

On-site survey of potential locations,

Review of potential thermal exchange partners, and

Evaluation and ranking of potential sites.

Collect available information concerning previous site use, including geotechnical information and sub-surface obstructions,

Collect information concerning site water resources, including existing wells, surface waters, and municipal/industrial water sources,

Collect marine access details such as existing traffic, mean low water draft available, air draft obstructions, channel width, etc.,

Identify applicable zoning and permitting requirements for the site,

Collect information on the potential thermal exchange for the site,

Review gas (and electric) transportation capacity in the area of the site,

Characterize the ability of the planned facility to fit the available land, and

Evaluate the major impacts on project feasibility to determine the acceptability of the project site for development.

Prepare alternative designs and perform initial sizing of components,

Develop heat balance for site,

Prepare conceptual engineering report including process flow diagrams and material balances, detailed project schedule, construction cost estimate, and O&M cost estimate,

Support development of detailed project proforma and financing approval,

Prepare project description and inputs for air and water permit modeling, and

Coordinate site land survey and geotechnical sampling performed by others.

Obtain specific component operation characteristics for site from vendors

Develop project specific specification for major components,

Coordinate development of additional owner permits and update information in existing permits, as necessary,

Prepare site drainage and surface run-off containment drawings,

Detail interface requirements with connecting pipelines utilities or thermal exchange partners,

Finalize component selection, project cost estimates, and project schedule,

Prepare EPC (engineer, procure, and construct) specification,

Define sub-contractor guarantees for facility performance (oil and gas tank heat leak, facility fuel utilization, total facility electrical power consumption), emissions control, maintenance, operation, documentation, and training,

Prepare preliminary engineering report documenting details of plant design, and

Provide technical support to evaluate bids and award EPC (engineer, procure, and construct) scope of work.

Perform technical review of specifications, drawings, and engineering calculations performed by EPC (engineer, procure, and construct),

Provide on-site engineering support of construction activities, including initial site preparation,

Technical resolution of problems during unit construction,

Provide independent assessment of project schedule and corrective actions to ensure schedule compliance,

Review and approve proposed field changes to design,

Maintain project files during construction and review EPC as-built information,

Evaluate change orders to EPC (engineer, procure, and construct) scope, and

Coordinate activities between EPC, vendors and other organizations.

Technical resolution of problems during unit start-up,

Provide independent assessment of activity schedule during start-up,

Review test procedures for acceptance testing of performance and emissions,

Review results of acceptance testing for performance and emissions,

Prepare and provide operator/technician training, and

Maintain punch-list of items to be corrected by the EPC.
